Take US 50 East from DC thru Annapolis and over Bay Bridge. Then cross the bridge leaving Kent island. Get off on exit 43B Chester River Beach Road. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and cross over US 50. Turn left onto Sadler road just beyond entrance ramp for US 50 West. Travel 1/2 mile on Sadler road to Holly's Restaurant. Make a right hand turn at Holley's restaurant onto Jackson Creek Road. Follow 800 feet to an end.

Beach faces N into mouth of Chester River. Several miles of open water. Peninsula on left (i.e., west) sticks out much farther than peninsula on right (east). Therefore, best winds are NNW CW to East. Excellent site for beginners.

When tide is low, must walk out several hundred feet to find deep enough water. Technically, permit is needed just to park there. Can not pay at site. Although permit is issued by the government, it is easiest to buy one from a commercial vendor. Most convenient one I found is Angler’s on the south side of US 50 (exit 30) shortly before crossing the bay bridge onto Kent island. http://www.anglerssportcenter.com/.
