Aruba

wind flow results in beginners near shore and advanced windsurfers in the
distance

Places to rent gear:
Aruba Active Vacations (AAV) Vela
How to book a flight: Use Orbitz with the destination airport code AUA
Comments: Like Bonaire, Aruba is in the trade winds at 10 N latitude. I have found Aruba superior to Bonaire in that 1) there seems to be less crime in Aruba as compared to Bonaire, 2) you can get a better deal on a flight, i.e, non-stop flights, at less cost, than to Bonaire. One drawback of Aruba is that the windsurf venue is on the leeward side of the island, and the wind must go through tall buildings first, causing the wind to be jerky and gusty near shore.
