Directions: Take U.S. 13 (The Lankford Highway) to Nelsonia, (which is
near mile post 124 which is
about 54 miles north of the bay bridge/tunnel).
Turn onto VA Rt 187 W (Nelsonia Rd) at Traffic
light in Nelsonia by
Royal Farms
and Chevron Gas Station. Travel a couple of miles west
until
you reach Bloxom. Turn right onto Bayside Dr (along side the
train tracks) and
travel north for
about 1000 ft and take the first left
onto 684 W (Guard Shore
Road). Travel 1.3 miles to a
yield sign and
bear left. Almost
immediately, the main road bends to the left but
a smaller
road continues
straight. Take the smaller road straight
ahead (which is still 684 W Guard
Shore Road) and travel another
2 miles to an end at the beach.

You are rewarded by a true gem, one that the 21st century forgot about.
A clean beach,
lots of open space, few weeds, and an absence of cops,
rangers,
signs with an endless list of rules, people who want to turn
you in, etc.
This is the one you do not want to
tell your friends about.
Launch faces WNW
Best Wind Directions: S, SW, W, NW and N
Do note that there is a sand bar or a peninsula a mile or so away to the
S
and W. Hence,
with S, SW and W wind directions, you will get the wind
without the waves. Just N of W
is open water into the Pokomoke sound.
Fees: None
Amenities: Trash barrel
